Sanrio hosts their "Small Gift Miami" Exhibition and brings Art Basel to a whole new level!

Sanrio is celebrating their 50th Year Anniversary during Art Basel so make sure to catch your favorite characters and the coolest art exhibits before 7 p.m. today! On Thursday, December 2nd, I attended their opening night party with my girlfriends. We loved every second of this "Hello Kitty Heaven" [like my friend Maria called it]. Sanrio completely transformed a warehouse in Miami's Wynwood Art District to provide Hello Kitty fans with a full fledged 50th Anniversary Bash! Here are some fun photos from the night:

After checking out the Sanrio Smart Cars on our way into the event, we couldn't help but notice the incredible history behind Sanrio. Small Gift Miami actually features a 35-foot wall with a time line of characters (pictured above). Did I mention that my friends and I marveled over the Hello Kitty chandeliers throughout the ceiling?

The event features two tattoo parlors. Guests who stroll through Small Gift Miami can receive a free Sanrio tattoo if they are interested. Check out that painting of "The Last Supper"...Sanrio style!

Michael Yo celebrates Original Penguin's 5th Year Anniversary during Art Basel in Miami

On Thursday, December 2nd, Michael Yo hosted a special 5th Year Anniversary Party for Original Penguin at their Lincoln Road store (925 Lincoln Road). During the event, shoppers enjoyed cupcakes by Sweet Street Desserts along with cocktails by Chambord, Korbel Champagne and 42 Below Vodka. Guests also received a 30% discount with their purchases so it was the perfect time to shop while listening to beats of DJ Dank. Alonzo and Tracy Mourning attend Art Basel's VOGUE Lounge at The Raleigh Hotel

Art Basel has taken over Miami and the VOGUE Lounge at The Raleigh Hotel is one of the hot spots you cannot miss! On Wednesday, December 1st, Miami's trendsetters and fashionistas attended the VOGUE Lounge's cocktail reception for an exclusive shopping preview of the season's most inspiring fashion, beauty and lifestyle trends. Guests were able to visit stylish shopping booths by Sam Edelman, Curve Boutique, Bebe, Trina Turk and Tracy Mourning's Honey Child Collection which features a wonderful assortment of moisturizers and body oils (Tracy and Alonzo Mourning are pictured above with one of the sprays). For those who want to check out the VOGUE Lounge, today is the last day to swing by The Raleigh Hotel (open to the public from 12 pm till 9 pm). Enjoy!

Sanrio hosts an Art Exhibition called "Small Gift Miami" to Celebrate their 50th Anniversary

A Night at the Studio with Omar Vega!

Last week, one of Miami's most notable photographers, Omar Vega, hosted his very own welcome party for Art Basel. On December 2nd, local entrepreneurs and artists joined Mr. Vega at his Midtown Studio to celebrate creativity. The event brought artistry and fashion together by featuring the work of artists along with a bikini and a lingerie show. Models strutted through the party wearing lingerie by Shirley Pear and bikinis by Casa Bikini. Every guest enjoyed their glimpse into Art Basel's flare and sexy atmosphere.
